—print troubles

Because of the homework’s final requirements, i have to print script, breakdown ,map and storyboard. I walk to the print shop which stands not far from TESCOE (a shop’s name) Why i don’t go to the library to print? Because i don’t know how to use them…So i think go to the print shop, the shopper will help me to print these thing. OMG, no. The shopper only show which selection you should choose for one time and quickly. So i have to ask him again and again, because i have many documents should be printed. Finally I take photos to make me remember how he behave. He asked me , why i take pictures? I said because i can’t remember to choose what before print, i am afraid what i am printing will have problems and i really don’t want to disturb you. He gave me a warm smile and said don’t care about that, after you choosing, i will exam if you are right on another computer, then if they are right, they will be printed. During this period, i learn where to choose size of paper and where to choose CMYK and where to choose how clear of your print. Thanks to the shopper.

In the honest, i don’t design the cover of  the film, I only design the cover of the TV series’s book. When i consider about the cover, I think about the beginning of the 3 minutes film. Because of i uploaded the pictures’order, the first picture is the final action. And the same, the final picture is the first action.

 

 

Finally, i decided to use the final action to be my cover.

—about color

I have a long plan, if i have enough time,after completing the film, i will color this film’s all the pictures. But if i don’t have enough time i will give up the colors. Sorry colors. So now the cover is no colors.

—about the print’s bind

This print shop only have these materials, so i try to make my best to make the print look better if i can. i used card’s paper to print the cover and there is a transparent paper on the cover. The back of the print also has a card’s paper and a transparent paper

 

final book arrive

I really like my book.

Print in china, really will have much unknown problems. Does it will arrive in the UK on time and is there any problems on the book? And if there is something i am not satisfied, it will have no time to reprint.

But it is cheaper than printing in the UK. For example, my classmates who printed in the UK, he payed 40 pounds each book. I printed 2 books and much more pages than his and including the deliver fee only need fewer than 30 pounds.

In honestly, i am not satisfied with the voice, because at first, i don’t want to add the human’s voice. But now, i will consider about the voice, maybe i should do some research about the voice and i hope next term, the voice will be good or i can delete the voice. Make my film to be a silent film. 

Optimum Home Entertainment

I really really like this animation. So I collect  this movie’s drafts. I want to find something i can learn from it.

From the first picture, because some words of Japanese language looks like Chinese language, ‘Qian’ grandmother is old sister, she is in purple and thin. ‘Tang’grandmother is young grandmother, she has big head and short.   Drafts can be changed, if you want to change.

If you are the designer, which grandmother you will choose.

For the first ages i watched this film, maybe in the primary school, i can’t remember, i will say no! i need two different grandmothers, i need this purple grandmother. Because when i am young, i can’t understand the plot, i do not know why the grandmother lived in a rich place and not easygoing, and then she be warm and lived in the countryside.

For my ages now, i support to use the twins and use the short ugly one. Because it is interesting and i can remember the character easily.

If you watched these pictures clearly, you will find his draft.Also changed. I like this simple  one.

I love Japanese  style architecture combines the western style in the film. So the film’s building has a mordern feeling and also a traditional feeling.
I downloaded the scene sketch watercolor style, because this style is different from what we see in the film.The picture below is final building.

The works i did before

Recently ,when I was cleaning up the computer,  I saw my  works, I think there are many deficiencies, I hope the  works will get better in the future.

These works are group animation, we work together and do everything together.

At first, because of a lesson, we begin to know stop motion animation. I mean begin to know how to make a stop motion animation.

We begin to care about materials, buy them and try to use them. even the same material, for example the aluminium wire，different sizes will have different feelings.This is my shopping list. Because these two animations are finished in the same time,  these materials some is used for the first animation, some is for the second animation.

 

By the way, some materials we used old clothes and the things we used in the normal life or just the rubbish on the road. Especially the second animation, most of the materials are branches and leaves in the school.

Because the first film, each of us give one character, so i design this character. I make many clothes for it and take it to different place to take pictures. Because i think it is meaningful and interesting. Following is the pictures of this character.

Next work in graduate student, i will try to finish a stop motion animation.

Contact the seller on Taobao, agreed size, paper material, etc., determine the price, and then confirm the mailing address, just fine.

you will find wow! only print a book, there are so many paper choices for you. Because i really know less of paper, so i choose the normal print paper, the first pictures of the following pictures.

For myself, i like read small book, because it is easy for me to bring. So i choose 148*210 mm.

I choose the film coating. Now i am regretting, why didn’t i pay some money to do stamping process!

————-big trouble!

First trouble,

Because this term, we think about the TV series, so i think about the layout is not in the beginning. so i put 10 pictures one PDF. But the print shop and teacher said we only need one PDF.

So i have to combine PDF.

But the software which can combine the PDF need money. Two of our classmates bought this software, each of us give them one pound to combine the PDF.

Second trouble,

look at my red lines… there is nothing into it. when i give the PDF to the printer, he asked,  you do nothing into the red lines! OMG! I can’t cut, there will have problem. He asked me to make the pictures bigger, but i try, i can’t do that , some design will be cut. I leave the white paper rather than cutting my design.

By the way, this is my first time to print something, so i really don’t know about the rules of red lines. Now, of course i remember.

So i promise the printer if the book have white lines around the pictures, i will not give them bad remark.
